5 Things I Like About Myself

Spread the love

So much of the time, I focus on the negatives. Like, my teeth are a little bit crooked and sometimes my hair is a bit greasy. I decided that I should think about 5 things I like about myself.

5 Things I Like About Myself

1) My sense of humour.

I like to think that I have an amazing sense of humour. Having a sense of humour is something I look for in all of my friends, and that is, I believe, a reflection of myself. A sense of humour means that you don’t take things seriously all the time.

2) My adventurous spirit.

Travelling is one of my favourite things to do. I like adventuring and seeing the world. The world is your oyster, and it is so important to be able to travel and experience different cultures. I know that I am so lucky to be able to travel and have an occupation which means I can teach anywhere in the world.

3) My impeccable sense of style.

I’m really trying to talk myself up. I love my sense of style, as I feel like it is a reflection of me and of my personality. Also, I change up my style when I go through changes in my life.

4) Being sensitive

I am someone who is very sensitive, and I think that is great! It is important to be able to show your emotions and express how you are feeling. I’ve had people tell me to stop being so sensitive, but why does it matter? So much of the time, people don’t show how they really feel, and they just bottle their feelings up. I’ve learnt that a good cry does a lot of good!

5) Being brave.

Over the last few years, I feel like I’ve really grown as a person. I’ve become a lot braver when sharing my ideas and thoughts, particularly at work. I am not afraid to speak up when I don’t agree with something. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and we shouldn’t be afraid to voice them!

What are 5 things you like about yourself?

If you want to have a read of some of my other posts like this, my one about a Lazy Girl’s Guide to the Weekend is a completely unrelated read, but still a good one!

I was so confused when I saw that your post was posted on the 9th January as it’s still the 8th in Switzerland then realised you were from New Zealand haha Makes more sense!!! I would love to explore your country, it seems such a beauty!

I agree! I have been working on being positive, especially since my year was tricky last year! This year my goal is to be positive and not be so negative towards myself!

Haha, it is confusing isn’t it?! It’s like we are living in the future here 😂😂 it is really beautiful here. I do love NZ!!

Definitely! I think that is so important. Too much of the time, people spend focusing on the negatives. I’m all about having a positive mindset this year!

Thank you!! It took me awhile to find a style I liked! So many people see sensitivity as a negative thing, and for a long time I tried to not show that side of my personality. But now I don’t try to hide it!! ❤️❤️

Yes! That’s so true. I’m really working on being positive and having time for me this year! It’s something I feel I kind of put to the side last year! Now I have time for me again and I can just feel that this year is going to be amazing!! Thank you 😊😊

I am loving the positive vibes of this post. It is great that you enjoy your sense of humor. That way, you can keep all of your guests entertained. YES on the world being your oyster. It’s great to learn new things while exploring in person. I like that you describe being sensitive as a feature you like. Hey, I admire this! Knowing when to cry to let things out is good.
