A Review of ModiBodi Undies
Yes, this is going to be a review of ModiBodi Undies. Other than the menstrual cup, these period undies are my other favourite product to use during that time of the month.
They are comfortable and are really good for those days when my flow isn’t too heavy. I find that the cup is best for the initial few days of my period, and the undies are best for the rest of the time.
Here are a couple of ugly photos of my undies:
A review of Modibodi undies:
I find that during the first few days, the undies are a little too light for me. However, the overnight ones are really good, but I do sometimes feel the need to sleep with a towel under me just in case. I don’t want to wake up to a murder scene!
One thing I would like to say is that the seamfree bikini is quite loose, and the sizing seems a bit bigger than the size marked. I do feel the need to wear my granny panties with them because they are too loose. Despite that, the absorbancy is good, and I like the feel of them.
I also think that when travelling, the undies won’t be so good, as you need to wash them (or rinse in cold water) after every use.
They do take time to dry, especially in Winter when it’s cold. For that reason, I prefer to use the cup when travelling – less hassle with washing it as you can just rinse it off with filtered water, and then at the end of the cycle put it in boiling water on the stove for 5 minutes.
Despite those few negative things, I do find that since switching to them, I haven’t had to buy any pads or tampons. They are a lot more environmentally friendly because of that and I really like having the choice between using the cup or the undies.
Although they are initially expensive, they do end up paying for themselves after a while.
