Here are my answers:

  1. What is your favourite thing about Christmas? I love the smell of Christmas – the pine trees, the barbeques, the beach (Summer Christmas here!). I love the togetherness and how my family spends quality time together! It’s such a special time of year!
  2. Do you have any Christmas traditions you CANNOT forget about each year? Something I have just recently started to do is wrapping up a dog biscuit or two for my dog to open. She loves tearing into the pressie!
  3. Is there a song that just gets you into that Christmas spirit? OMG, so many! I love ‘White Christmas’, which is quite a sad song, but it really gets my into the Christmas mood. Bing Crosby had such a gorgeous voice!
  4. What is your favourite Christmas movie? I love ‘Love, Actually’. It is the movie I have to watch every year.
  5. Which food is your must-have at Christmas time? My mum’s cheesecake! It’s yummy and dreamy. We make it every year on Christmas eve. I’m the official biscuit crusher.
  6. If you had to choose between Michael Buble’s Christmas album and Justin Bieber’s Christmas album, which one would you choose and why? Michael Buble, for sure! He’s got an amazing voice. I went to his concert a couple of years ago and I loved it! Yes, I am a 28-year-old grandma.
  7. What is your favourite memory about Christmas? Going to my Grandparents place for Christmas Day. I remember one Christmas I biked around to their place. The food was always so good. I remember every year we would have a Christmas Decoration Day at their place to get their house all ready for Christmas. This year is the first year we aren’t going to their place for Christmas. New traditions are starting!
  8. When do you start decorating your place for Christmas? Usually pretty late, compared to others. I help my mum with decorating the house and tree after I finish at work/school. So after the 13th of December.
  9. If you were at Christmas Karaoke, which 5 songs would you choose to play? Mariah Carey – All I Want For Christmas (I mean, who doesn’t want to try that song?), Merry Christmas Happy Holidays (NSYNC), Santa Baby, Jingle Bell Rock, Winter Wonderland.
  10. What are your top 4 Christmas movies? Elf; Love, Actually; Home Alone; White Christmas (I love a good old classic film!).the ultimate christmas tagSource: Giphy
  11. What does Christmas really mean to you? For me it really means spending time with family, reflecting on the year past and looking forward to the year ahead. It means peace.
  12. How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? Lol, my parents actually used to put fake snow footprints in front of the fireplace. I don’t know why I believed they were his actual footprints because living in the Southern Hemisphere means that it is summer and any snow would melt pretty quickly. However, I believed in Santa until I was about 10. I figured out it was my parents because I recognised my mum’s writing. I was questioning his existence for a couple of years beforehand.
  13. What do you think makes Christmas so magical? I think the traditions, the music, the peacefulness makes Christmas magical. In New Zealand, it’s that time of year when you start going outdoors more and spending time with friends and family. I feel like it’s a really relaxed time of year – people just seem so much happier. I think that since it is a time of giving, it is magical. The Christmas lights and gingerbread houses are just so magical!.

This is a photo from when I was happy and excited, about my future. It was the beginning of a new chapter of my life. I was going to be moving overseas in about 2 weeks and I couldn’t wait! Now, I’m kind of at stage of my life again!
