Blogmas Day 2: My Christmas Wishlist

Spread the love

I have a very small list of things on my Christmas wishlist this year! However, the things I do have on there are items I do need!

Here are a few things I would like to get:

A camera tripod:

As a solo traveller, I need a tripod to take photos of myself – especially when it comes to things like outfit posts, travelling photos and also to get those perfect sunset photos!

I have my eye on this tripod:

This one looks good because I want one that is easy to store away and does not take up that much space in my bag. I like how it can grip onto things. It looks like it will be a good, cheaper, tripod for someone who isn’t that serious of a photographer.

Hiking boots:

I’m planning on doing a hiking trip in the South Island of New Zealand after Christmas (haven’t booked anything yet). I don’t currently have any hiking boots, I usually rely on my Adidas. However, the South Island is very hilly and rugged, and I really don’t think my Adidas will cut it!

I am looking at going on a hiking trip on Tuatapere Ridge Track. I will need to work on my fitness and walking beforehand though. I don’t want to be the only one huffing and puffing. I’m also hoping to do a hike in either Portugal or Switzerland. It depends on the state of my knee though (I had a knee injury last year and it can still be really sore at times – long story short: I tried to jump up onto a rock to escape a wave at the beach, misjudged my leap and landed on my bent knee on the rock. I ended up damaging the cartilage and they suspected a fracture).

What do you have on your Christmas wishlist this year?

Nice list! That hike sounds like it’s going to be amazing! Also, my sisters boyfriend has a similar tripod and he uses it to take really different shots. I think he just likes setting it up in funny positions lol a very good buy though for a solo traveler I’d imagine. Looking forward to your other posts!

    Cheers xx

I’m really looking forward to it! It sounds like a really good tripod. I like how you can set it up in all these different places. I saw someone had wrapped it around a power-line.
      Thank you! 😀

I’ve heard some good things about it!! It looks easy to use, which is good because I get technologically confused sometimes 😂 thank you!! X

I always thought there was someone who actually takes photos of you when you’re travelling! A tripod is definitely a need and it’s a lifesaver as well! Xx

Where about’s in NZ are you based? I’m in Thames, and I’m only just starting to reach out to find other kiwi bloggers. I’m sure we’re a small but growing tribe!! 🙂

Haha I have a couple of other things I want to add now! 😂 my Wishlist is growing slowly. I’m based in Auckland! It’s great to see another Kiwi on here. I sometimes go to the NZ Bloggers brunch club events held in Auckland, but I’ve not been able to go lately. Do they have anything like that in Thames?
