Blogmas Day 3: One Christmas in Paris
I love chick lit. Especially the ones of the Christmas variety. So, imagine my excitement when I came across ‘One Christmas in Paris’ at the library!
This book, although it is chick lit, delves a little deeper than the fluffy books I usually read. Yes, there is the typical romance aspect, and there is the main character who has just gotten out of a relationship. However, the deeper parts of this book talk about feeling insignificant. It talks about feeling not good enough, struggling with self-image, and also relationships (not just of the romantic type, but with family).
I liked how this wasn’t the ‘fall in love at first sight’ kind of book, it was more realistic in that sense. I enjoyed how she was able to mend her relationship with her mum.
