Chanel Spring Summer 2020
We all know about my weakness for deliciously gorgeous luxury fashion. Although I am a big supporter of sustainable and ethical fashion, there’s something in me that gets so excited about fashion week. So, naturally, I had to check out the Chanel Spring Summer 2020 show.
There are always some looks that make me think ‘what the fuck were they thinking’, but usually, the clothes are styled beautifully. I think a lot of fashion thrives off mismatch…which drives me crazy at times, as I am the sort of person who likes having everything matched perfectly. I love the look of different patterns and materials together, but just not on myself.
With Chanel, it looks like they have stayed very traditional with the ‘tweed’ look, which I adore. I have one dress that looks ever so slightly Chanel, and I love to wear it because it’s hot. Unfortunately, I can’t wear it to work here, or out and about, as it’s against the dress code. Can’t show too much leg, which annoys me, because I like my legs. In fact, they are my favourite part of my body.
Anyway, back to Chanel. Here are some of my favourite looks from the Chanel Spring Summer 2020 show:
What I love about this collection is how wearable it is (which, I guess should be a hint since it’s ‘ready to wear’). I love how there are so many things here I could easily replicate, or even wear to work since the skirts aren’t super short. Also, the shoes. I am going to look out for some Chanel shoes on eBay because it has been a life long dream to own a pair of Chanel flats. And a Chanel quilted handbag. And Chanel coat. Ok, I’ll stop there before I seem like too much of a fangirl.
What is your favourite thing about fashion week?
