Harajuku and Shibuya – A Tokyo Travel Journal
I am currently on holiday in Japan. I thought it’d be fun to do a little photo post on two places I’ve enjoyed visiting: Harajuku and Shibuya.
Harajuku is well known for its fashion and culture. I’m surprised I didn’t see many people walking around dressed as anime characters!
I love the fashion here. There are just so many elements to people’s looks. Of course, since I am in Tokyo, a fashion capital of the world, I’ve had to do my bit towards the shopping economy!
I bought an amazing Alice in Wonderland blouse from a shop in Harajuku. I can’t wait to show you!
Today we went to Dominique Ansel Bakery.
We got there at opening time to be the first in. We got the Tokyo specials – Mr Roboto and Paris Tokyo. The Paris Tokyo was my personal favourite. It has matcha in it and it just looked divine.
After our rather unhealthy brekkie, we decided to head along to the shopping mecca of Shibuya 109.
OMG, so many shops!! I got a real pretty black embroidered kimono. I can’t wait to show you all of my purchases!! I’m starting to run out of room in my suitcase already!
Tomorrow we are heading off to Kyoto. I’m looking forward to it as I’ve heard Kyoto is beautiful! After Kyoto, we are heading to Hiroshima, and then finally back to Tokyo for a few more days before heading home. I’m really enjoying Japan so far. This was definitely a much needed holiday!!
