How I get over ‘I have nothing to wear’ moments
Everyone goes through the stage of feeling like you have nothing to wear. I have a few things that I do to get over those ‘I have nothing to wear’ moments.
1. I clean out my wardrobe and reorganise. I do that so I can see what I have, and what I have forgotten about. It’s also a good way to get rid of some clothes that I no longer wear/want. I always have my clothes colour co-ordinated, it makes it so much easier to find what I need in the morning (or the night before if I’m really well organised!). Also, it is so important to declutter and clean – it creates a much healthier mindset.
2. I stand in front of my wardrobe and seethe at the fact that I have nothing to wear. I then randomly pick something out to wear that day. Sometimes I choose my shoes first and then go from there up. It helps because I know which shoes go with which outfits etc.
3. I pin. By pin, I mean Pinterest. I can spend hours on Pinterest looking for inspiration. I know that seems like a waste of time, but I really enjoy it! It actually helps me think about how I can recreate outfits using clothes I already have.
4. I go shopping. This one is really a last resort, as I am a fashion blogger on a budget (except I’m going shopping tomorrow). I like budget shopping and high-end shops. So, if I can’t afford things I like in the high-end shops, I go and look in the cheaper shops. Primark was my bestie when I lived in England. My favourite Primark jeans wore out after 2 years of wear. Not too bad, eh?! If I do shop in high-end stores, I go when there’s a sale. I also like to shop at charity shops. There’s a place called SaveMart not too far from where I live. It stinks, but you can find some gems in there. I advise taking hand sanitizer, baby wipes and wearing old clothes. Oh, and washing the things you get from there like 3 times before wearing them.
I know there are not many steps here, but it’s what I do to deal with this very important issue.
