January Round Up And February Goals
How fast did this month go guys? Super fast, right? I can’t believe it is almost February already, it felt like only yesterday I was making goals for January.
Let me say that my blog goals for January didn’t go exactly as planned, however, I am proud of the progress I made throughout the month! It’s always tricky trying to foresee how successful posts will be, not only on here but also on Instagram. Instagram has been my main focus for over a year, as I really do like that platform! Twitter is the platform that I kind of struggle with.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at how well I did in January:
This is an area I am still working on, however, since I’ve been posting more often and working at scheduling posts I have noticed a bit of a change in the engagement on my social media posts – mostly on Instagram. There are still the odd photos that don’t get as much love as others, but I still post them anyway because I like them. I could change what I post on there to get maximum engagement, but I want to post the things I like.
Twitter is a platform that, although I gain followers, I find quite tricky to get likes and retweets. I think that may be an area I will work on.
Since I started posting regularly on Pinterest, I have noticed a slight change in engagement. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but I don’t get most of my blog traffic from Pinterest. I seem to get it from Instagram, Twitter and then Facebook.
Facebook is a platform I don’t really use – I have a page for my blog if you want to check it out, but only my latest blog posts get posted on there.
I’m still working on this, but I think I’ve got better. I’ve been experimenting with taking outfit photos from different angles and in different places, and I like the outcome! I still don’t really go out into the streets to take my photo.
Social Media Following
By the end of January, I wanted to have:
Instagram: 1600 followers – instead I got to 1505 followers (it fluctuated between 1505-1525 over the last week)
Twitter: 1600 followers – instead I have 1476 (this didn’t change that much)
Pinterest: 160 followers – instead I got 182!!! One goal I achieved!
Facebook: 100 followers – I managed to get to 79 followers.
Obviously, I may have set my goals a little too high, but I try to aim high in life.
For February, my social media goals are:
Instagram: 1600 followers (keeping the same goal as last time!).
Twitter: 1600 followers – like Instagram, I’m going to keep the goal the same as last months.
Facebook: 100 followers!
I’m going back to work next week, after a very lovely summer holiday, so I’m going to keep my blog goals small and then work my way back up to bigger goals.
What are some of your goals for February?
