Lauren Bacall Style Diary Day 2
Lauren Bacall has long been one of my style inspirations. She was an icon in her own right and she really stood out due to her classic look. Some of you may have seen my Lauren Bacall Style Diary – Day 1. This post is going to continue to look at some outfits that are reminiscent of her look.
Here are some of Lauren’s looks and how I have attempted to recreate them or wear them in the past:
This look is a simple, yet classy look. Checked trousers, a simple blouse and black ballet flats.
The trousers are from H&M, the blouse is from Glassons and the shoes are from Piccadilly. I like how classic this look is, and I think that it will be perfect for work. A white blouse is always such a classic, and I believe everyone should have one in their wardrobe. I have had these shoes for about 4 years and I hardly ever wear them!
My final outfit is based on this very classic and simple look. I really like the simplicity of this look:
I dressed it up with a pair of heeled sandals. My white top is from WeGo in Japan, and the trousers are from Heyday. The bag is an op shop find which I thrifted it back in the 90s. It’s been in my wardrobe for a very long time!:
These two looks are very easily worn for work and for going out. I like being able to wear things that transfer easily from day to night.
Who is a fashion icon for you?
