Lauren Bacall Style Diary – Day 3
This is the final post from my Lauren Bacall Style Diary series. I have really enjoyed recreating her looks, and have discovered some new and different outfits!
Here are some of Lauren’s looks and how I have attempted to recreate them or wear them in the past.
This is a relaxing weekend look featuring another button down blouse:
This look was kind of easy to recreate, although my shirt obviously isn’t as long as hers. I also didn’t feel comfortable walking around the streets with just a bathing suit on underneath, so I put my shorts on top of my togs!
This look is really comfortable for the weekend. I wore one of my white blouses from Glassons, my bathing suit (which is 50s inspired) and my 1950s Wranglers shorts. These shorts were such a find! I bought them off eBay for about $30, they had never been worn and they still had the original price tag on them!
The next look is one I call my ‘librarian chic’ look.
The skirt is from a vintage shop in Salisbury – it’s a 1970s cord pencil skirt. My sandals are from Clarks and my blouse is from House of Foxy.
And my final outfit for this series:
Another very classic and simple look.
I still need to find a Humphrey Bogart to pose with.
Once again, this is a white blouse from Glassons, a black skirt from H&M and my Italian leather shoes from Italy. My belt is vintage – it was my Grandmothers.
Which outfit do you like the most?
