I am so excited to announce that Cady Quotidienne has nominated me for the Liebster Award. A month ago, when I started this blog, I didn’t even think that I’d get this far, or that I’d even get an award this early! So, a massive thank you to Cady!
Here we go:
Favorite part of blogging?
Well, this is a tough question. There are so many things I love about blogging – from getting my thoughts out there to sharing about fashion. But my absolute favourite part of blogging is meeting new people from all around the world!
What would your superpower be if you could choose?
I used to think I’d love to be invisible, so I could come and go as I pleased.
Preferred vacation type/ destination?
I love going to places with good food, amazing history and good shopping. So, that stands for pretty much every country. I’d love to go back to Paris – the weekend I spent there was definitely not enough. I remember walking down the Champs Elysees, and just feeling amazed that I was actually there. I like going to places where I can go out and sightsee and experience the country/city, but I also love being able to just have an easy day with a book and a glass of wine whilst people watching.
Biggest learning experience as a blogger/ business woman?
I think realising that to make it you have to really work for it! I thought it was going to be easy grow my blog, and I’ve realised just how much of a job it is having a blog. It’s difficult working during the day and then coming home and doing some more work on the blog.
Favorite animal & why?
I really can’t choose. I did a lot of horse riding when I was young, so I’d have to say horses. But then I can’t forget about cats and dogs – I grew up with 3 cats and 1 dog, so I just can’t say which one holds my favour!
Dogs would be my favourite at the moment because my dog is still around. However, I just found a stray cat living under my house (I’ve moved back home and my dad is adamantly saying ‘we are not adopting a cat’. That is what he said when we got the dog!).
Any hidden talents? If we had a talent show, what would you do?
I am actually very musical. I’ve been playing musical instruments since I was about 8. Started with recorder, and then moved on to flute and bassoon. So I’d probably find a bassoon and start playing something by Vivaldi.
If that is not a viable answer, because I guess it’s not really a hidden talent, I can do an amazing Donald Duck impersonation!
Dream project or brand to work with?
There are so many brands I would LOVE to work with. I love, love, love Longchamp. Longchamp is so versatile. I would also love to work with Topshop or Vero Moda. There are just so many brands that I admire, it’s hard to pin it down to one.
One item in your closet that you can’t live without?
My Longchamp bag. I bought this Longchamp bag when I was going on holiday to Edinburgh. I bought it at Harrods, as I was in London for a few days before leaving for Edinburgh. To be honest, I didn’t mean to buy anything, but I saw this bag and just had to have it. I’d been looking at them for ages, and kept going and admiring them. I then decided that everyone has to buy something from Harrods at least once in their lifetime.
The reason why I can’t live without it is that it is my go-to bag. It’s perfect for any outfit, for any occasion.
The bonus of it is that it can be folded up easily, and it can also fit heaps in it!
Celebrity or girl crush?
I really love Alexa Chung – I think she has a great style.
Leandra Medine – I just think she’s generally awesome.
My celeb crush at the moment would have to be the guy who plays It in the movie ‘It’. I thought the guy playing him would be really creepy, but this guy is just wow.
What do you hope readers take away from your blog?
This is tricky, I hope they take away a bit of inspiration.
Now, according to the rules, I have to nominate some other bloggers and also come up with my own questions. So, after a lot of deliberation, I have decided to nominate:
Karen from The Lifestyle Love
Now, onto the questions:
Who is your favourite author? And why!
What is your favourite life quote?
Are you a cat or dog person? Why?
Where do you see yourself when you are 80?
What is your most embarrassing moment? Would you go back in time to erase it from ever happening?
If you had to wear one pair of shoes for the next ten years, what style would they be?
What encouraged you to start blogging?
What is your favourite colour and why?
What is your favourite genre of music?
Where is your dream holiday destination?
Once again, I just want to give a big ‘thank you’ to Cady for nominating me for the Liebster Award!
P.S. I know I’ve only tagged two bloggers in this, but I have the Versatile Blogger Award to do as well!
