Michael Kors NYFW F/W 2019

As a massive Michael Kors fan, I couldn’t wait for the Michael Kors NYFW F/W 2019 show. It definitely did not disappoint!
I thought that a lot of the looks that were presented to us were quite 70s influenced. From the patterns, prints and materials, to the cut and style of the outfits. And you know what? That is something that I love. This season I have been all about floral print and floaty material, and I can’t wait to take that look into Winter this year. Feathers and fake fur, puffa jackets, leather, checks and long clean lines are part of the Michael Kors Ready-to-Wear collection this NYFW.
Something I love at Michael Kors is how his outfits are very wearable – they have longevity, meaning that they will definitely be wearable for a long time.
I wanted to start off with this look:
Long faux fur boa. I like how the cardie/coat and the jumpsuit is matched. And do you know what else I like? The material the jumpsuit is made out of – it looks silky!
I really like the combinations of prints here.
Normally I don’t mix prints and patterns, but I really like how these ones just work together. The layering of this look is really cool too. The longer skirt of the dress falling below the beginning of the boots, the short jacket and the belt. It all just goes together well. And that hat. Love it!
I love a good all black outfit.
It brings a certain edginess to a look, and is perfect for nights out! Black outfits are always a classic, and classy, look. Plus, those boots are what I dream of!
The mix of these fabrics is amazing.
Sparkles and feathers. Need I say more?
Here’s that short puffa jacket!
I don’t know if I’d wear a puffa jacket when I go out-out, but I think that it does go well with this outfit.
This dress is perfect for fancy parties!
The material, cut, fit, the cut out at the chest – it’s just a really beautiful dress.
How 70s is this look?
The whole look just reminds me of the 70s! It’s amazing!
Another stunning dress.
It looks to be in the same material as the blue on. Once again, the cut of this one is perfect. I love the long slit at the front and the bare arms. It falls to a really nice length and has a slight flare to it, so it isn’t just straight up and down. I love how fancy disco this one is! You can never go wrong with a sparkly dress.
This outfit is the perfect workwear outfit.
The cinched in waist, the floral skirt, the heels and sheer tights. It all just works. I’d love that jacket added to my collection!
Do I need to say anything about this dress?
The sleeves, neckline, skirt length. I love how it isn’t too much like short at the front long at the back. It’s kind of a gradual fall and the way the dress is cut means that the material floats down. I know what I’m trying to say, I just can’t find the right words! The ombre effect of this dress is stunning too – how it goes from gold to black!
Blue, blue, blue!
All this blue together! The mix of fabrics again is really nice – I like the faux fur, floral, stripes, checks. This is another look I can see myself wearing!
My favourite look of the show:
The coat, the purple, the shoes. The whole look is just me.
Patti Hansen! Icon of the 70s closing the show!
Those trousers need to move into my wardrobe!
As you can see from the shoes, the hair and the accessories, the styling was quite pop 70s. The clothes helped with that look and introduced a more glamourous style. The general atmosphere of the show was glittery and really reminded me of a disco. The sort of patchwork leather look (although I am not sure if it was real leather of faux leather) that was seen on quite a few models is very 70s. Even the male models were wearing platform boots, and had that tight at the top, flared from below the knee look to their trousers and jeans.
So, those were just a few of my favourite outfits from the Michael Kors NYFW F/W 2019 ready-to-wear collection.
Here is the actual show, if you want to watch it!

Stunning! Great post, great pics! The workwear outfit with the jacket is my fave!
It’s such a great workwear outfit!! The whole outfit needs to miraculously appear in my wardrobe! Thank you ❤️
I LOVE the sparkly blue dress with the front-facing cut out!!! I would snap that up in a heartbeat for a party.
It’s a beautiful dress. I really love the dresses in his collection – they are so slinky!
Yes! I feel the exact same way. There’s something so empowering about leaving the home in something you know is coordinated. A little bit of planning goes a long way for self confidence!
Planning ahead with my outfits is something I love to do. It’s probably the most organised I ever am!
