Outfit of the Day: Monday Owl-day (and a bit of weekly organisation)
I haven’t done an outfit of the day post in a while. I love doing these posts because I enjoy sharing my own personal style.
Outfit of the day:
Today I decided to wear one of my favourite dresses. I bought this dress in the Netherlands in 2014, and have been wearing it constantly ever since!
I love the pattern on it! This dress goes perfectly with brown shoes and denim jackets. However, today I paired it with a simple black cardigan and brown suede boots. It is still a little warm to start wearing jackets.
Those outfits that make you just feel happy are awesome. I love being able to wear things that make me feel great, excited and ready to face the world!
Something that annoys me with my job is how I can’t wear jeans, so I constantly have to wear skirts and dresses. I try to create a ‘cycle’ throughout my wardrobe. That makes me less ‘bored’ of my outfits and also ensures things are fresh!
These suede boots are a favourite of mine. I don’t wear them enough because I always get worried that they’ll get wet (despite using the special spray to protect them).
I’ve been trying to organise my outfits for each week. Last week I was exhausted all week and found that I kept leaving things to the last minute. This week my goal is to get to sleep on time and be prepared for the next morning. I hate being disorganised because it makes me feel unprepared.
One important thing I do on a Friday is to write a post-it or to-do list of things I must do on Monday when I get to work. It’s a really busy time of year, as I have to organise sports and sort things out for the rest of the term! Being able to organise my life and work in that way is vital for my job. Having things sorted like that makes it easier for me to sort my own life admin out as well.
I love these notepads from Kikki K. I swear by them!
Every night before I leave work I write post-it notes of things I have to do the next day. I always stick them to my work laptop, so that when I get to work I see them straight away!
I’m also really happy Monday is finally over. I hate the feeling of loss on Sunday afternoons when I realise I do have to go to work the next day!
I hope everyone else has a really great Monday!
Plus, my feels when Monday is finally over:
How do you get organised for the week?
