Spring Days OOTD

As you may know, New Zealand is experiencing Spring at the moment. So I thought, why not post a Spring Days OOTD? I haven’t yet done an outfit post. So here we go!
Yesterday was a very, very busy day. I went out for lunch with my parents and then went shopping. I didn’t buy anything overly exciting, just an extraordinary amount of chocolate biscuits.
Spring Days ootd:
It is a lovely time of year. I really love spring, however recently each day has been either warm, rainy or windy. Or a mixture of all. So it makes it really tricky knowing what to wear.
Like I said, yesterday was shopping day. Food shopping day to be exact (which happens to be my favourite day of the week). We had quite a few chores to do, so by the time we went for lunch I was quite hangry.
I ordered smashed avocado with a poached egg on toast, as well as chips. Unfortunately, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, and I was only able to eat half of my meal. My dad always says that I should order less, simply because I never eat all of my food.
I just can’t help it though!
We also visited the library, so that I could get a few more books out. I love to read, especially chick lit books. My ultimate favourite series is Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. They are great and often provide me with a lot of laughs. What I love about them, is the fact that I can read them over and over again and never get bored.
I can see myself marrying a Luke-alike.
I got quite a few books out, so I better get reading. However, I already have a $2 fine for not returning a book on time from a few weeks ago. Haven’t paid it back yet (so bad).
By the time we finished shopping, it was time to head home.
Spring Days OOTD:
The outfit that I chose to wear is definitely one of my favourites at the moment. I can’t wait to wear it to work since the weather is starting to warm up at last.
The top I love because it is slightly off the shoulder and has a cute bow on the front. Unfortunately, some of the colour has leached onto the white stripes. It isn’t really noticeable, but I just know it’s there (which is why it annoys me slightly).
My skirt is from H&M. I bought it in Utrecht last year, when I was visiting some family in the Netherlands. Black skirts are great because they go with so many different tops. My wardrobe boasts a large selection of blouses that I wear for work – so this is the perfect match!
And finally my shoes. Wow, these are probably my most favourite item in this whole outfit. I was looking for a pair of brown oxfords for a long, long time. When I lived in England I actually found some there, but then I decided to wait until I got home. And that was a mistake. It took me about 4 months to find a pair of brown lace up shoes for women. There were a lot of black lace-ups and lots of brown ankle boots. But absolutely zero brown lace-ups. When I found these ones, I decided to go ahead and buy them. I haven’t regretted them.
Here is a photo of the spring days ootd in its entirety:
Top: Dorothy Perkins | Skirt: H&M (similar, but a bit shorter, here) | Shoes: Hannahs

It does feel weird for me. I was in England for 1.5 years, so it feels like it should be Autumn for me know. I miss the Autumn there, because it is so pretty! Thank you 🙂
That top is so cute! Stripes are always a good look!
Thank you! Stripes really are a great look! 🙂
This is a really pretty outfit! I love stripes so much, and that little bow on the top is such a cute little extra! x

I bought it for the bow, because it really made it stand out (for me at least!).
That dish looks scrumptious! I love those shoes 💛

It was so yum! Thank you 🙂
Love your outfit! I never wear stripes as I think they don’t suit me, but I love that top! Maybe I should consider wearing stripes.. 😊

A really nice outfit, nautical themes are very in right now 🙂 here in the UK it’s getting colder, I’m getting ready to put away my skirts and dig out my jumper!
Thank you 🙂
Nautical is one of my favourite themes 🙂
It’s just starting to warm up here!
