Blogging, Other Stuff

A Sunday Brunch at Crossroads Cafe

On Sunday, I went to a #brunchclub event with other bloggers from New Zealand. It was my first time attending an event like that, and despite my nerves, I had a great time.

A Sunday Brunch at Crossroads Cafe:

The other bloggers there were really lovely, and it was great to talk about our blogs, and our lives outside of blogging.

I’ve actually been a member of NZBloggers since 2015, as I previously had another blog. However, I never attended any of their events. So, I decided that with a fresh, new blog, I might as well make an effort to go and see what it was all about.

I’m so glad I did – it is such a great way to network and make new blogging buddies. A bonus is that they give out goodie bags. I’m so excited for the next event, which is wine and painting on a Saturday in November. It’s right up my alley! I love a good wine, and I love to paint…although, I don’t know how well I’ll paint when drinking. I’ll prepare myself for an indistinguishable blob.

Now, onto the food. Crossroads Cafe is a popular, newish cafe in Milford, Auckland. I think it’s been open for about a year, however I had never actually been there.

I really like their food, as they have a variety of diet options available. From vegetarian to gluten free.

I choose an Acai Bowl, which was almost too pretty to eat!

I think that the next time I go there, I might get the Hot Cakes. They looked really yummy and fluffy.

Their Pineapple Mango Star Iced Tea was also a hit with me! It was perfect for the warmer weather.

The other drinks from my table included a Charcoal Latte, which seemed quite interesting!

I’m also really looking forward to trying this eyeshadow pencil I received in the goodie bag!

So, all in all, I had a really fab time at the Brunch Club event. It was totally worth my time!

The iced tea sounds delicious, right up my street!
I’ve never been to a blogger event before either so I can understand your nerves but well done for going ahead with it. I met two bloggers yesterday and it’s so lovely to speak to somehow who understands and is on the same page as you.

      It was so much fun!
Tickets have gone on sale for the wine and painting event, but just realised it coincides with my mum’s birthday.
May be able to go to both though (not sure how happy she’ll be if I turn up tipsy though).
