The Versatile Blogger Award
Imagine my excitement when I found out Mary, from Mary Chronicles, had tagged me for the Versatile Blogger Award!
It isn’t my first nomination, but it is such a great way to ‘introduce’ yourself to other bloggers.
Accept the award by writing your own Versatile Blogger Award blog post
Thank the lovely blogger who nominated you.
Introduce yourself by writing 7 facts about yourself
Finally, nominate 15 bloggers that you think deserve this award and let them know!
Ok, this might be quite tricky, as I was seriously scraping the bottom of the barrel with the first post. I didn’t realise how hard it was to think of 7 facts that are interesting and not boring.
1. I love Christmas.
It is seriously my favourite time of year. Since I live in the Southern Hemisphere, Christmas is in the middle of summer. This means my typical Christmas (when I am home) looks like this: eating a lot of Pavlova and trying not to drown after making ill-advised decisions to swim after eating a huge Christmas lunch. For me, Christmas is sunny and hot. Although, I did enjoy the Winter Christmas’ I had in England.
2. The Mummy movies are the best.
The first one in particular. It’s so cheesy, but I love it! We all need a bit of cheesiness in our lives.
3. I love Hallmark movies.
Like above – the cheese.
4. Talking about cheese, I love cheese.
Give me Gouda, Maasdam, Camembert any day and I will be a very happy girl.
5. I love travelling (pretty sure I wrote about this on my first Versatile Blogger Award thingamabob).
However, travelling is very important to me. It is a great way to broaden your horizons and really get to know who you are. Travelling introduces you to so many experiences! I’ll never forget the time I was in Wellington and I was looking for Lord of the Rings locations on Mt Victoria. Some road workers asked if I was lost, and they offered to give me a lift to the location. I just hopped in with no worries. It’s those things you look back on and laugh about. I also love packing for holidays!
6. Reading is my favourite form of exercise.
There’s nothing quite like giving your eyes a work-out. My favourite book genre is chick lit. I particularly like Prosecco Christmas.
7. Education is very important to me.
As you may (or may not) know, by day I am a teacher. I love to teach, and I love seeing the way kid’s eyes light up when they finally understand something. Seeing them progress is amazing. I would love to work with Educational Charities or become an Education Consultant/Curriculum Advisor. This is one of my favourite TED Talks about education:
And here is another one that I find hilarious:
So, hopefully, this taught you a little bit about me and who I am.
