Tom Ford NYFW F/W 2019
Ok, so I might be going a little overboard with the amount of NYFW posts I’m doing, but seriously, it’s an amazing time of year. I’d love to showcase ALL the designers that had shows, but it will be a little bit too much! This post will focus on Tom Ford NYFW F/W 2019.
The other shows provided amazing looks, but this one was definitely simple, clean, sharply tailored looks that can be transferred straight off the runway and into your wardrobe. Did I mention the hats?
The mix of colours, fabrics, textures worked well together, satin, velvet and jersey. All of this is evidenced in this video of the show:
Some looks I loved:
I love red, so the look Gigi was wearing was definitely a favourite. The red velvet tux is an iconic Tom Ford piece:
Some more classic suits. One with an amazing bomber style jacket and the other accessorised with a simple scarf and amazing hat:
Gorgeous, simple sillohouttes. The dresses were accessorised with heavy chains, yet still had that classic, sleek style. The silver one though is gorgeous. I’ve seen a lot of fabric like that this fashion week, so is that perhaps a material that will be popular this year?
Something I loved about the show was how simple and classic the tailoring was, but there was a real party going on in the footwear department:
And the bags, although most of them were under the arm, stood out. This one I like because of the chain embellishment:
