My Travel Plans For 2018

As some of you may know, I am addicted to travelling. I love the adventure, the feeling of going away and knowing you are going to experience great things. So, I have decided to create a blog post about my travel plans for 2018.

My travel plans for 2018:

  1. Myanmar: I have wanted to go to Myanmar (also known as Burma) for a while. My cousin went to Myanmar, and said that it was fantastic. I think that since it is still ‘off the beaten track’, it will be a really interesting place to go to. I’m really looking forward to it! My trip there will take place in January 2018, so it will be a great start to the year.
  2. Croatia, Portugal and the UK: I recently moved back to NZ from England, and I am seriously feeling so homesick for my home in London. I decided that since I have 3 weeks off in the middle of next year (which is NZ winter), I should go and get a bit of summer. Two places I wanted to visit were Portugal and Croatia. Unfortunately I never got there when I lived in London. So, I have decided to do a bit of a whirlwind trip – four days in Croatia, seven days in Portugal and the rest of the time in England (and possibly Ireland). These plans may change. As now that I am thinking about it, I might spend seven days in Portugal and the rest of the time in England.

Edinburgh: a place I’d love to go back to if I decide to travel around more of the UK.

My travel plans for 2018 continued:

  1. Hawai’i: Hawai’i has always been a place I want to visit. I’m thinking of going there in December next year, or in one of my other holidays.

I was thinking that I will do a mix of tours and solo travel. Tours are great because you make new friends and you also have everything organised for you. It’s a nice gentle way to ease into travelling. However, I do love the flexibility of solo travel, simple because you can choose to wake up late and spend a day relaxing at the beach.

What about you guys? What are your travel plans for the next year?

I love this song, it is one of my favourite songs for when I travel:

Travelling is a passion of mine, too. This year I spent a week each in Mallorca, on the Isle of RΓΌgen and in Scotland. And a took a 10 dayΒ΄s cruise on the Baltic Sea, visiting Tallinn, Gdansk, St Petersburg, Stockholm, Helsinki and Kopenhagen. Hawaii is a destination I would really love to go to.

That sounds amazing – I’d love to go to all of those places. Helsinki and St Petersburg would be really interesting! I loved Scotland – it really reminded me of home πŸ™‚

Croatia is absolutely beautiful. So much of it feels untouched. I went sailing there last year and covered Vis, Solta, Hvar and many others I can’t remember the name of! Many of the places we stopped off at felt so deserted, it was a paradise! The only place I regret not making it to was Dubrovnik, next time though πŸ™‚ x

Sounds like great plans! Portugal is on my bucket list, too. Haven’t been there, and I’ve lived in Europe for most of my life – so don’t feel bad. πŸ™‚ I find that traveling solo is also the easiest way to meet people. I guess you’re easier to approach when you’re by yourself. Hope your trip will be everything you hope for! <3

I will definitely try to blog about my trip there. I’m not sure what the internet will be like though! I’m thinking of going back to London in the middle of next year!
